The main temple in this region is a temple that is dedicated to the chief deity Ambe. The Ambika of Arasur, occupies an enviable place. This temple, also known as the Ambe temple, is a shrine that is quite famous among pilgrims, mainly because it does not house an idol. The temple has a yantra which is fully made of marble. This yantra stands at a significant spot that is supposed to represent the location of the goddess.

The original seat of Ambaji mata is on Gabbar hilltop in the town. Gabbar is in fact One of the Fifty One (51) famous Ancient Pauranik Shakti Piths - The Centre of Cosmic Power and it is the original holy place of Mata Ambaji, where the piece of the heart of the dead body of Devi Sati fell at the top of this holy hill of Gabbar as per the legend narrated in the "Tantra Chudamani" . It is also the site of Krishna's tonsorial ceremony (ritual head-shaving), and the abode of the divine Mahishasur-Mardini.
On the flat top of the hill there is a small niche facing the temple of Ambaji, in which a well-protected lamp is kept constantly burning, and can be seen from the main Ambaji temple at night. There are footprints of the Goddess under a pipal tree, which are worshipped.
There are 1000 steps to climb the hill and reach the temple that rests there. Ropeway on the mountain of Gabbar has been installed, so that more and more pilgrims can visit and enjoy the beauty and holiness of Gabbar with ease and joy. Watching the sunset from the hill top is an experience in itself.

Nestled atop a hillock i.e. Kailash tekri around a kilometer and half from the Ambaji Temple on the Khedbrahma Highway is Mangalya Van, a unique garden that is of late drawing hordes of tourists. One has to climb steps to reach Kailash tekri and Mangalya Van, which is also surrounded by water bodies. The van was developed by the forest department and its USP is a unique Rashi Van (astrological garden) within and a garden of plants, which astrologers say have the same effect as stones on one’s life. Around 700 to 800 people visit Mangalya Van every day and on holidays, the number crosses 1,000. Each of the 12 zodiac signs have been given three plants and are planted in 18×18 meter in this garden.

Kumbharia Jain temples are a fascinating group of amazing temple structures at Ambaji Town which dates back to the 11th and 13th century, respectively. The Kumbhariya group of Jain temples are dedicated to the five theerthankkaras of the jain religion namely Mahavira, Parshvanath, Neminath Shantinath and Sambhavanath.
According to the legend, Mata Ambika had directed Sheth Vimal Shah, the 11th century minister of the Solankis, to construct 360 Jain temples there.
The temples were constructed without Ambe Mata's idols installed. On noticing this, the goddess got furious and destroyed almost all the Temples except five of them. The minister realized his mistake and included the idols of Ambe Mata in the remaining temples.
The main shrine constructed in the center of a rectangular courtyard is the highlight of the temple. The beautiful shiksaras, balconies with porches and the excellent craftsmanship and artistic of the temple structure and style bears a striking resemblance to the famous Dilwara temples of Mount Abu in Rajasthan.

Just 5 km away from Ambaji near the Origin of the Vedic Vargin River Saraswati, there is an ancient temple of Shri Koteshwar Mahadev, attached with a Holy Kund and the flows of river Saraswati from the Mouth of Cow (Gaumukh) , incurved in a rock.
As per a legend there was an Ashram of Rushi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana, near Valmiki Mahadev temple and the King of Mevad, Maha Rana Pratap had renovated this holy temple, It is said that during the Mutiny of Independence in 1857, Nana Saheb Peshwa had taken his abode in the cave of this temple. Man Sarovar is behind the main temple. It is said to have been constructed by Shri Tapishanker, a Nagar Devotee of Ambaji from Ahmedabad, during the year 1584 to 1594. There are two temples on two sides of this holy tank, one is of Mahadev and another is Ajay Devi , who is believed to be the sister of Mata Ambaji . The visitors and devotees use to take holy bath in this Mansarovar.
